If you purchased one or more of the StarKist Products from February 19, 2009 through October 31, 2014, there is a website that informs you of a proposed Class-Action Settlement that you may benefit from.
The settlement provides that StarKist will pay $8 million in cash and $4 million in vouchers redeemable for StarKist tuna products. You may submit a claim for either:
a cash payment of $25, or $50 in product vouchers redeemable for StarKist tuna products.
Why not take the $50 in product vouchers and donate them to the Cherry Street Ministries? Just think what a hundred - or a thousand - Metro Toledo folks could do. Think about it. I filed my claim in less than a minute.
NCAA College football in Metro Toledo rocks!
When the 2015 NCAA Football season kicked off last weekend, the Bowling Green Falcons went on the road and gave SEC powerhouse Tennessee all they could handle. BGSU eventually fell to the Mountaineers by a score of 59 -30, a final score that doesn't reflect how close the game was for the first three-plus quarters.
The Falcons are good. Their schedule is brutal. BG was back on the road for a game two matchup with Maryland. The Terrapins are now a Big Ten school. And Mid American Conference Bowling Green beat them like dirty rug. Final score: BGSU 48 Maryland 27.
The Falcons next game is September 19 home at Doyt L. Perry Stadium, against the Memphis Tigers.
Meanwhile, the University of Toledo Rockets first scheduled game, never happened. The Rockets home opener against Stony Brook was delayed by weather, until ultimately being suspended and ruled no-contest.
Game number two on UT's 2015 schedule was on the road, at Southeast Conference powerhouse Arkansas. The Razorbacks were rated in the top 20 nationally. Arkansas was a prohibitive favorite to spank the Rockets. Final score: UT 16 Arkansas 12.
The UT Rockets return to the Glassbowl for a September 19 matchup with the Iowa State Cyclones.
Fill up those stadiums folks. College football in Metro Toledo rocks.
